Mad Honey (100gm)

Rs 4000

Premium grade Mad Honey from BojuStore is raw organic honey that has been tainted with all of its naturally occurring grayanotoxin, enzymes and antioxidants. Due to its intoxicating/poisonous properties, it is known as “Mad Honey.”

Grayanotoxins are diterpenes, polyhydroxylated cyclic hydrocarbons, containing no nitrogens. Grayanotoxins cause intoxication and are extracted by honey bees from the nectar and pollen of the plants of the Rhododendron genus (Ericaceae family), most commonly from R. luteum, R. flavum, R. simsii, and R. ponticum. Mad honey thus is far superior and beneficial than your regular honey.

Mad honey comes straight from the hills of Eastern Nepal above the altitude of 2800m. Unpasteurised raw honey has been used throughout the centuries as a food source as well as a medicinal remedy.

Mad honey is employed for various purposes, which are different from those of regular honey. It is used as an alternative medicine for hypertension, diabetes (hyperglycemia and related complications), flu, gastrointestinal disorders (peptic ulcers, gastritis, dyspepsia, indigestion, bowel disorders, and other discomforts), abdominal/gastric pain, arthritis, stimulating sex (dysfunction, impotence, enhancement, and performance),

arious viral infections, skin conditions, pain, and cold. It is also widely known that Rhododendron species have antiradical bioactivities that are antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, antibacterial, cytotoxic, and insecticidal. According to Silici et al., the primary phenols in mad honey are chlorogenic, coumaric, ferulic, and gallic acids. Compared to other varieties of honey, mad honey has the highest amount of antioxidant activity.
Unlike much of the processed honey most people are used to, mad honey is nothing like the blended and processed versions. Many commercial honey products found in mainstream grocery stores are often blended and ultra-filtered.

Honey is a complex natural food made by bees from the nectar and honeydew of plants, and it can be eaten raw. Its composition varies depending on the type of honeybees, the sources of honeydew, the flora and its origin, the geographic region, climate, and weather, as well as manipulation, processing, packaging, and storage time. Sugars and other substances, such as minerals, vitamins, proteins, organic acids, aromatic acids, and waxes, make up the majority of its ingredients. Honey has been used as a folk remedy since 2100 BC and has been used for colds, ulcers, diabetes, gastritis, hypertension, wound healing, and sexual stimulation. A amazing liquid known as honey contains at least 181 different chemicals.
